Name of the activity :
understand the water cycle from a replica / model of the water cycle.
Purpose/importance of the activity :
understand and know about watercycle and to get detail information of each step in water cycle.
Proposed time duration for the activity :
5 - 6 days are needed to prepare themodel of water cycle.
Materials and apparatus required for the activity :
A large bowl , bucket , aclear sheet of plastic wrap, a coffee mug , a long piece of string or large rubberband, water.
Methodology of the activity:
i) Put the bowl in the sunny place outside.
ii) Using bucket , pour water into the bowl until it's about 1/4 full.
iii) Place the mug in the centre of the bowl.
iv) Be careful not to splash any water into it.
v) Cover the top of bowl tightly with plastic wrap.
vi) Tie the string around the bowl to hold plastic wrap in place.
vii) Watch the bowl to see what happens.

Concepts Learnt During the Activity:
Water in bowl evaporate then gets condensed on plastic wrap.
Then this water is collected in mug drop by drop.
What New Things did you Learn ?
We learned how water that is evaporated again got condensed
and was collected in the mug. This showed us how water
cycle worked.
Conclusion:
Water from the "ocean" of water in the bowl evaporated. It condensedto form Misty "clouds" on the plastic wrap . When the cloud becamesaturated it rained into the mug.
