Unit 4 : Activity - 8


Name of the activity :
To check the suitability of water storage methods in public places as well as indoor.


Purpose/importance of the activity :

i) To know the water storage and disinfection methods.

ii) Considered suitability of water storage methods.


Proposed time duration for the activity :
A week i.e. is 7 to 8 days.


Materials and apparatus required for the activity :
Book, pen, pencil, etc.


Methodology of the activity:

i) Surface and groundwater reserves are more likely to be polluted during monsoons, outbreaks of epidemic disease exaggerate during this time.

ii) Therefore, special care should be taken for disinfection on such days, in such cases the amount of bleaching powder should be increased for this infection and the O.T test must be done regularly.

iii) After the supply of pure water to the houses, it is necessary to store that water properly. Proper handling of water Stored at whomis essential.

iv) Household storage utensils should be clean daily, similarly once a week all storage utensils should be completely dried and refilled, In order to maintain the quality of water, we also need to take proper precautions.

Conclusion:

i) It is not sufficient that the water supply in our house is clean, and should also be properly stored.

ii) The vessels used for water storage should be clean.

What is life. If there would be no water, the living organism may die, therefore quality of water should be maintained.
