ii)Terrestrial ecosystems include forests, grasslands, and deserts, while aquatic ecosystems comprise fresh water and Marine environment.
iii) It is classified based on predominant environment like forests or oceans.



3)What important role does water play for environment?

Ans.

Water Plays a crucial role in the environment by sustaining life, regulating. temperature, supporting ecosystems, facilitating nutrient cycles, and promoting biodiversity.

Ans.

The forest cover in the state of is 50,777 sq.km is 16.50% of the state.



5) Which is, the most forested and the least forested region in Maharashtra?

Ans.

Gadchiroli is most forested region in Maharashtra, Latur is least forested region in Maharashtra.
